This fantastic and fun Italian ceramic donkey and basket vase is a real statement piece. The shaggy grey donkey has a really sweet and happy face and is striking a jaunty pose with its front leg lifted as it stands on some rocks. The rocks are glazed in soft tones of pink, purple, yellow, green and grey. Next to the donkey is a conical shaped wicker basket effect vase which has a flat reverse for placing against a wall. There are gold highlights on the vase and the donkey’s saddle. In lovely condition, no chips, cracks etc.
