Swinnerton’s ‘Homestead’ Thatched Cottage Jug. 1950s Vintage.

This delightful cottage style jug by Swinnertons, from their Homestead range, is ivory in colour, with a ribbed body and a transfer print of an old English thatched cottage and idyllic garden on the front. There is a detail of a spray of flowers on the reverse, and another on the front side of the spout. The jug is in decent condition considering it’s age, but does has a small chip on the spout, and a patch of discolouration on the inside bottom, both of which I have shown in my photos and reflected in the price. Signs of use but no crazing. A very pretty item.
